Some events bring people together.
Others help shape an entire industry.
The 2026 Bay Area Starlight Design Week & Bay Award Global Launch Conference, organised by Starlight Alliance, was one of those special occasions. Over the years, Starlight Alliance has grown into one of China’s most influential platforms for the lighting and design industry, bringing together creative professionals, manufacturers, brands and innovators from China and around the world. More than an event organiser, it has become a bridge connecting ideas, industries and international collaboration.
It was our great pleasure to be invited to take part in this inspiring gathering. Mr. Hatem attended the conference on behalf of The Five Studios, joining designers, entrepreneurs, educators and industry leaders in celebrating creativity, innovation and the future of design.
Throughout the day, meaningful conversations happened everywhere. New friendships were formed, ideas were exchanged, and people from different backgrounds came together with the same passion for creating better experiences through design. It reminded us that the strongest creative communities are built not only by talent, but by openness and collaboration.
One of the memorable moments was participating in the official launch ceremony alongside distinguished guests from across the industry. Standing together on the same stage reflected the spirit that Starlight Alliance continues to encourage—bringing people together to inspire one another and move the industry forward.
The event was also a memorable experience for our newest intern, Mr. Redwan, who had recently arrived from France. Experiencing one of China’s leading design gatherings so soon after his arrival left a lasting impression on him. Seeing the enthusiasm, professionalism and international atmosphere through fresh eyes reminded us how special gatherings like this truly are.
As the day came to an end, we signed the event wall, shared a few final conversations and returned to Shenzhen with new inspiration, new friendships and wonderful memories.
Our sincere thanks go to Starlight Alliance for creating such a meaningful platform and for their warm hospitality. We also thank everyone we had the pleasure of meeting throughout the event. We look forward to seeing you again at future gatherings and continuing to build new connections through design.
