We were deeply honored to attend the Bay Area Design Alliance’s special event during Guangzhou Design Week 2025, themed “Boundless Symbiosis.” This gathering brought together designers, architects, educators, and leaders from across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area in a celebration of creativity, collaboration, and professional excellence.

For our Executive Art Director, Mr. Hatem Khemmar of The Five Studios, the event was particularly meaningful on a personal level. During the event, the arrival of one of his PhD professors sparked an extraordinary and joyful moment. Mr. Khemmar realized that one of the Alliance leaders—who is also a personal friend—had studied under the same professor. This revelation created a sense of closeness akin to discovering long-lost brothers who share the same father—a warm, human, and unforgettable connection that went far beyond professional titles. The moment brought laughter, gratitude, and a renewed appreciation for the enduring bonds formed through mentorship and shared learning.

The event featured the grand opening of the Bay Area Design Alliance and the “Bay Area Star Bay Appreciation Night,” celebrating the contributions of outstanding professionals from across the region. Every detail of the event reflected exceptional organization by the Alliance, ensuring that all moments ran smoothly and that participants enjoyed a seamless, welcoming, and inspiring experience. Nothing was left to chance, and the atmosphere radiated both professionalism and warmth.

Supported by organizations such as Zhizhengji AI Consulting, China Design Brand (CDP) Co., Ltd., the Senior Interior Design Committee of the Architectural Society of China, and numerous associations from Guangdong, Shenzhen, Foshan, Zhuhai, Hong Kong, and Macao, the event provided a rich environment for dialogue, exchange, and collaboration. Attendees engaged in thoughtful discussions, explored emerging design trends, and forged new professional connections, all in the spirit of “Boundless Symbiosis.”

For Mr. Khemmar, the experience was also an opportunity to meet accomplished leaders, educators, and peers from across the Bay Area. Beyond professional interactions, the event inspired reflection on the importance of mentorship, human connections, and shared passions in shaping a vibrant, forward-looking design community. The moment of recognition with his fellow Alliance leader reinforced the deep personal significance of being part of this community, highlighting that design is as much about relationships and shared journeys as it is about aesthetics and innovation.

Overall, the Bay Area Design Alliance’s special event at Guangzhou Design Week 2025 was a celebration of creativity, collaboration, and meticulous planning. Mr. Hatem Khemmar and our team are profoundly grateful to have been part of this extraordinary gathering. They were inspired not only by the knowledge, expertise, and generosity of the region’s leading design professionals but also by the warmth and human connections that make the Bay Area design community so unique and vibrant.
