On May 22nd, within the dynamic setting of Shenzhen’s Qianhai International Talent Port, we had the great privilege of attending the 2025 Greater Bay Area International Brand Designer Summit. This was no ordinary design event — it was a convergence of global visionaries, design educators, and masters, brought together by a shared belief in the transformative power of design.
As Project Director at The Five Studios, and on behalf of our Executive Art Director Mr. Hatem Khemmar, I had the honor of witnessing just how deeply this experience resonated with him. The conversations, the atmosphere, the depth of thought present at every table — it was nothing short of extraordinary. Mr. Khemmar described it simply as “priceless,” and I couldn’t agree more.
Each interaction — whether with European associations, Hong Kong interior design leaders, or young emerging talents — felt intentional and full of purpose. There was no noise, no competition. Only clarity, mutual respect, and the quiet dignity of people who care deeply about the future of this profession.
This was not about showing off projects or awards. It was about listening, reflecting, and recognizing one another as partners (合作伙伴) in shaping tomorrow’s design culture. Words like integrity (诚信) and longevity (长久) weren’t just spoken — they were lived, felt, and reflected in every smile, every gesture.
Mr. Khemmar has always spoken of design not just as aesthetics, but as legacy — as something that must serve people across cultures, with soul and humility. At this summit, surrounded by thoughtful design teachers and masters from around the world, that philosophy felt echoed and affirmed.
What we brought back with us is not just a memory, but a reminder. That at its best, design is a language of connection — of identity, culture, and human dignity. And that the friendships formed here will last far beyond any single event.
